Ring Size Guide

When buying a ring for someone else, the easiest way to determine their size is to simply ask them. If you want it to be a surprise, enlist the help of friends or family members. Women's ring sizes typically range from 42 to 59, with the most common sizes being 49 to 54. Size 52 is the most popular choice. These standard sizes can serve as a helpful starting point. There are also several methods you can use at home to measure your ring size.

How to Measure Ring Size Using String, Paper, and a Ruler

Mark the point where the ends meet with a pen.  Measure the length of the string or paper with a ruler (in millimeters) to get the circumference, then divide by 3.14 (Pi) to determine the diameter.

Find the closest measurement on the ring size chart to identify your ring size.

Top Tip: measure your ring size at the end of the day when your fingers are warm. Finger size can fluctuate based on the time of day and the weather; fingers tend to be smaller in the morning and when it’s cold. Also, note that the fingers on your dominant hand are usually slightly larger.
